This past year was hard and bad for the people of Gaza, which is a small but densely populated place. This piece talks about big events that have happened, people who have been hurt, and the ongoing political crisis that is tearing the region apart. Gaza has been through the worst destruction it has ever seen in the past year, with many people dying and many others being forced to leave their homes. It is thought that more than 50,000 people have died and that many millions have lost their homes. At the moment, 80% of Gaza’s infrastructure has been destroyed, including many mosques, schools, hospitals, and other key government buildings. In this article, the author talks about some questionable actions taken by aggressors under the guise of military necessity. However, when you see how much damage and destruction was done, it becomes more questionable, and it starts a debate about when besieged populations have the right to defend themselves under international law. Lawyers say that the Palestinian people can use the safe and effective ways to stop violence. Large-scale military operations against Gaza, on the other hand, have destroyed the area and raised the question of whether these operations were fair to both citizens and military targets, which is against the rules of international humanitarian law. More global political tactics in their areas have also had an effect on how people talk about Gaza. There have been a lot of claims about a complicated plan called “Greater Israel.” This plan is said to show Israel’s future goals going beyond its current limits and will affect several neighbouring states. This has made things worse and added to the complications of relations in the area, which are already very complicated.
Some global groups have failed in their attempts to make changes because of the crisis in Gaza, which is how the world has responded in part. Powerful groups like the UN Security Council have clearly not only failed to deal with the problem or offer a way to achieve peace, they have also done nothing to make it happen. These complaints are about how these groups aren’t following through on their own codes and promises, which puts Gaza and its people in danger. The people of Gaza are just now coming out of a year of attacks and hard times, and the rest of the world has yet to agree on what needs to be done. Human rights campaigners in Gaza want more law and diplomacy, which would protect the freedom of the people in Gaza and last over time. The Two-State solution is still being pushed, which is a bad thing, because people are still talking about whether or not it is possible and fair given what is going on in the Middle East. It’s especially impressive how strong the people of Gaza are in the face of so much suffering; people are still talking about what might happen to the area. I think that the next few years will show whether the Gaza strip will have new hope or be constantly torn apart by politics and war.
